The Intersection of Towing and Business
5 Reasons to Attend the 2018 Tow Summit
The towing and recovery industry continues to undergo rapid changes. Keeping your eye on the road has a much broader meaning than sitting behind a steering wheel. Moving forward, your company must address technology, HR issues, tax changes, legislation … and much more. Don’t face these issues alone. Attend this year’s Tow Summit to access the tools to help you face what’s headed your way.
1- Insight: The towing industry is not alone in its challenges to hire and keep dispatchers. Hear how other industries, including a large police dispatch center, are addressing similar problems on the Dispatch Dilemma panel.
2 - Expertise: You’ve heard about and read the hype about tax reform. Now hear the truth from Ron Mills, a CPA at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, about how your business could be impacted by the new tax plan.
3 - Intrigue: Hear more from Tennessee Homeland Security special agent Barry Crotzer as he continues last year’s discussion topic on how to prepare for Terrorism Threats on Today’s Roadways.
4 - Income: A lot of towing businesses do not collect up to 10% of potential income either through incomplete invoices or short pay from vendors. Are you leaving money on the table?
5 - Fun: Nashville, Tennessee ranks 8th on Travel & Leisure 2017 list of America’s Favorite Cities. Come to Nashville for the Tow Summit and find out. You’ll run out of time!
Hope to see you there!

Registration, Hotel Reservations Now Open for Railway Interchange 2017
Indianapolis, Ind., April 3, 2017 – Registration and hotel reservations have begun for Railway Interchange 2017 (www.railwayinterchange.org), the USA-based combined exhibition and technical conference taking place Sunday, September 17 through Wednesday, September 20 at the Indiana Convention Center. The exhibition will be held September 17-19, 2017 with technical and educational sessions taking place September 18-20, 2017.
The Railway Interchange 2017 exhibition showcases the latest technology, services, and research by members of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI). Railway Interchange 2017 also features technical presentations and discussions by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA). CMA organizations include the Air Brake Association, the International Association of Railway Operating Officers, the League of Railway Industry Women, the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association and Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services.
With over 300,000 square feet of indoor exhibit display space, Railway Interchange 2017 is the largest combined railway exhibition and technical conference in North America, according to event organizers.
“Railway Interchange 2017 follows the record-breaking 2015 event in Minneapolis, which attracted more than 9,000 attendees and featured 687 exhibitors from 42 countries. This year AREMA’s Conference Program will include 80 technical presentations over three days and a variety of educational seminars,” said AREMA Executive Director and CEO Beth Caruso.
RSI President Tom Simpson said, “This year’s CMA technical sessions will feature updates on current rail industry issues along with the latest research. On the exhibition side, overall booth space sales are nearing 90 percent and will sell out quickly.”
REMSA Executive Director/CEO David Tennent noted, “The successful previous events in Minneapolis and Indianapolis have strengthened the Railway Interchange brand. RI2017 is now a must-attend event.”
“We are seeing great interest in this year’s exhibition and the technical sessions,” added RSSI Executive Director Michael A. Drudy. “We encourage everyone to make their hotel reservations quickly and register now.”
Registration information and online access are available at http://railwayinterchange.org/registration-information/.
Member organizations have reserved hotel room blocks for their attendees; information and reservations may be found at http://railwayinterchange.org/lodging-location/.
