Mechanical Air Scale

Our exterior mechanical load scales are ideal for those that simply want to monitor and maintain legal weights. The exterior mechanical scales are easy to install and calibrate. Specific models are available for tandem and triple axle configurations. The larger 3 1⁄2 inch gauge comes mounted in a custom, weather resistant enclosure with a push-pull valve to bleed the pressure out of the gauge when it is not in use.

Step 1: With a fully loaded truck, park on level ground, chock the wheels and turn off the parking brake.

Step 2 : Pull the valve all the way out to activate the scale

Step 3: Using a screwdriver, adjust the calibration screw so that your scale matches the certified scale ticket weight for the axle group it is monitoring

Step 4: Write the date and the certified scale weight in the calibration log. Calibration should be checked every 6 months. You are now ready to go!
